RNA interferenceRNA interference (RNAi) involves the use of long double-stranded RNA to silence the expression of target genes in an organism. I looked through many different databases for different model organisms and each one came up with no result. This could mean a few things: there is a chance that no one has done this type of experiment with KCNQ1 before, the databases are only so large and may not contain the information about the experiments yet, or I did not put the correct inputs into the search bars.
From all my previous research it seems to me that the reason I did not find any entries was because most researchers are not doing this type of experiment on the KCNQ1 gene. Perhaps in the future someone will and there can be results to show for it. |
